Pigments may have distinctive characteristics such as size, colour, UV activity, according to customer’s demand.
Depending the pigments behaviour in the visible/UV/IR spectrum there are:
- pigments visible only in day light
- pigments visible only in UV light
- pigments visible both in daylight and in UV light
- pigments visible only in IR light
- pigments visible both in UV light and IR light
- pigments visible in daylight, UV light and IR light
- pigments visible at 3 different wavelength of UV
- thermo chromic pigments
Security pigments can be used as unique security elements or combined with other security features.

Instruments and verification techniques
UV Lamp – with UV lamp it can be identified pigments visible in ultraviolet light from the security paper.
IR pen – with IR pen it can be identified pigments visible in IR light from the security paper.
